Residential developments

Gusto Construction has built residential communities for over 30 years.

The Burgage

Bechers Court Southwell is a heritage-led residential development at the heart of the historic town of Southwell in Nottinghamshire. The site sits on the edge of the Southwell Minster Burgage and dates back to the early 1800s. Back then, it was originally developed as a House of Correction in 1808, designed by Richard Ingleman, and included two innovative prison designs, the radial and polygonal forms. The design was developed around the two Grade 2 listed buildings, which remain from the house of correction, with design taken in form and materiality from the original buildings.

Collingham Brook

This scheme is a substantial development for the village of Collingham and includes over 60 market dwellings, affordable homes and an 89 unit retirement village.

The retirement village includes extra-care facilities and rentable business space within Gusto House. The scheme is comprised of numerous dwelling types, with five different types of heating technology in the homes. This is together with exciting sustainable eco homes built to standards ahead of even the current building regulations.

Designed by our partner Architects SGA.

Trumpington Place

This residential development was carried out as part of a joint venture. This development has 13 three story town houses, using standard masonry with larch cladding and render.

Pitomy Farm

Pitomy Farm is a development of 30 traditionally styled homes, set on the edge of the Low Street conservation area in Collingham. The site overlooks the River Fleet and open countryside running down the Trent valley. Homes range from 2 bed terraced to 5 bed detached houses, with a traditional village layout.

Designed in conjunction with SGA Architects.

Coghill Court

Our first development successfully delivered with Newark and Sherwood District Council. The development consists of four new two bed bungalows in the quaint historic town of Southwell. Alongside this, we enhanced the communal gardens by building allotments for the residents and engaged with the community through the council’s crop drop scheme.
