Jerome is co-founder of Gusto Construction and a highly experienced Construction and Commercial Manager working across all of Gusto Construction’s developments.

Jeremy Heppell, Finance Director
Jeremy has been working with Steff Wright and Gusto Group since graduating from university. He is passionate about finance and enjoys spending time with his family and supporting his football team, Nottingham Forest, outside of work.

Lorne Ffoulkes-Jones, Operations Director
Lorne began his construction career 32 years ago as a tradesman, swiftly advancing through the ranks to senior management. Over the years he has amassed extensive experienced in residential, commercial and civil development. Lorne is passionate about building high quality structures, embracing new technologies, and prioritising safety to every individual working in construction.

Nigel Ward, Operations Manager
Nigel has worked in construction since graduating in 1992 and has worked in most sectors throughout his 30+ years, finally landing at Gusto Group in 2013. Nigel has MCIOB, IOSH, and SMSTS status and is passionate about building high quality homes that are efficient to run.

Pat Proctor, Accounts Manager
Pat has worked for Gusto Construction for the past 20 years now. She has over 40 years’ experience working within an Accounts Department, which is an important and necessary role within the company. She works closely with our suppliers and subcontractors dealing with their queries.

Andrew Shaw, Site Manager
Andrew has worked in the construction industry since 1996. Starting as a Bricklayer over 25 years ago he has carved out a successful career path with Gusto Construction, now working in the role of site Manager.

Emma James, Administration Manager
Emma has worked for Gusto Construction since 2016 after spending 20 years as a PA to a Partner within the Legal industry. During the past 8 years Emma has developed many new internal systems to help her manage a number of processes ranging from fleet and training, to house sales and customer support. Emma also manages two other members of staff and has overall control of the construction administration.

Connor Ward, Trainee Architectural Technician
After completing his studies at University amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, Connor transitioned to a role as an Admin Assistant at Gusto in 2021. Whilst working in the Construction Office, Connor ignited his fascination for Housing, Design and Technology, prompting his move to the Design Office. His ambition is to continue learning and advancing towards becoming a certified Architectural Technician.

Darren Scarborough, Site Manager
Darren has worked in construction for 30 years and counting, beginning his career as a brick layer. As a site manager, he has had the privilege of overseeing diverse projects, from residential developments to commercial complexes, each presenting its own set of challenges and triumphs. Darren is driven and deeply committed to the success of Gusto Construction.

Jon Smith, Property Service Manager
Jon has worked in construction since he left school, which has given him a very broad knowledge of the industry. Jon forms part of our team by working closely with the site, taking your property through the final stages of completion to handover. Following this, he will be by your side through the settling-in period and maintenance, guiding you step by step.
Jon has a passion for the environment and sustainability and loves nothing more than being in the wild.

Nick, now with Gusto Construction as The Buyer, brings years of industry experience. Starting as a joiner apprentice, he gained Craft Certificates and extensive on-site knowledge. Transitioning to building merchant, he earned a Diploma in Business Management before excelling in buying roles across diverse markets.

Beginning his journey as a bricklayer, he has honed his skills through years of hard work and determination. With a passion for the outdoors and a relentless work ethic, he thrives in the challenging environment of construction sites.
